Watermelon Seed Count – These hilarious watermelon seed

These hilarious watermelon seed counting and carving cards add a little fun to all that hard work. We took turns holding the watermelon card and counting the number of seeds. I put a basket next to the cards so we could take them, count them, and cut them. After counting the seeds on the watermelon, we cut the correct number of seeds at the bottom. I love helping kindergarten and first grade teachers save time, get inspired, and get better results for ALL students. My kids love clip cards, so they are very familiar with them. Counting is a skill that takes a lot of practice and repetition, especially when kids are learning to rewrite words one-to-one and count sentences. I put 12 clothespins in the basket – one clothespin for each card, but you can reuse them as needed. But I like to go over some cards with them to make sure we’re on the right track before I leave them alone. I then laminate the pieces before cutting them out so they are more sturdy and can be used over and over again.
