Business World – Do you want your children or grandchildren

Do you want your children or grandchildren to grow up in a world where politics is essentially considered a reality show, or do you want them to live in a safe democracy? Looking into the future, I think that people are beginning to mature and understand why these questions are important and why it is important to take politics seriously. Sanjana graduated from high school in New Jersey USA. About a year ago she launched a product called PoliPro, an extension of Google Chrome that helps people to learn politics and better understand current events. In September 2020, the Wharton Global Youth Program launched its first podcast series, The Future of the Business World, which explores the motives and creations of young entrepreneurs around the world. Sanjana: When I talk to my colleagues today about the future of our country, it’s race issues that really excite people. Wharton World Youth Program: Hello and welcome to “The Future of Business”, a podcast in which young entrepreneurs talk about their unique successes, challenges and prospects. Wharton Global Youth: The Z generation you belong to is the most diverse and digital generation in the United States. Born after 1996, it has experienced a severe recession, a pandemic, a climate crisis, mass shootings, global unrest, and police brutality. Last year, Sanjana Yeddula, a high school student from New Jersey, USA, created a product that helps young people travel online through information about politicians. PoliPro’s goal is to break down these two barriers by keeping people from their usual sources of information. While we were looking for information, we realized that there were two important factors: people were reluctant to spend so much time reading newspaper articles, and when they did, it often got very confusing. Sanjana: Currently, PoliPro is based in the U.S., but since we are available through the Google Chrome store, it works all over the world. Sandjana: These are long distance lights that you can touch so that people know what you think about them. What do you think about the political process, especially at a time when the United States is so divided in its political thinking? Do you agree that the system is failing? Is that why you are disappointed in politics? Or does it cheer you up? Share your thoughts in the “Comments” section of this article. At Wharton Global Youth we work with many high school students through our summer programs, competitions and online business magazine. The less people worry about basic survival problems, the more we can focus on these big problems. Sanjana: I really feel that people feel that the system is broken. Although there may be flaws, it gave me the opportunity to get out of my bubble and see the world as others see it.
