COVID-Zoom Kill – Before the pandemic the only way to get

Before the pandemic, the only way to get rid of desk phones was to get them out of people’s cold, dead hands. There will be more “Zoom meetings on campus without desk phones, but there will also be more spontaneous visitors. The downside of not having desk phones does not outweigh the savings. Based on our experience at COVID, I would say that in a year or two no one will lose their desk phone. Teachers will keep their desk phones. The very idea of getting rid of 145 years of technology was a no-brainer. Teachers teach through Zoom. The staff works through Zoom. We discard comments and present “Letters to the Editor.” Staff may be more willing to discard them. These days, if you want to talk to someone, reach out. Letters can be sent to [email protected]. Here’s what I think might happen. Before COWIDA, a university without a phone was almost unthinkable. First of all, it would never happen.
