Project Management – This raises a big question: Do we need

This raises a big question: Do we need a traditional relationship? Advances in business intelligence, artificial intelligence and systems integration offer much more useful solutions, providing real-time information to people who really need it. When you start to automate information processing, you can make 80% or more of a typical “monthly report” available to managers who really need to know in real time – projects are synonymous with reports! Many project teams have to report to their customers weekly and monthly, either as part of a contract or according to internal reporting requirements. In fact, this would be a much better way to use the time currently spent by PDP and project staff to create and distribute weekly and monthly reports. The information is outdated and the project reports are mostly about what happened. BI and IA which are part of the new technology, are changing the way reports are created and presented, especially in real time, as you said. This is better than free information, but it means that if one person needs all the information, it is superfluous for almost everyone. The problem with BI is usually the excess information and the extra noise that is created when you update, edit, and correct different elements of the tool at different times. The report provides management with the information and options needed to make a decision. Voices on Project Management provides ideas, advice, recommendations and personal accounts from project managers from different regions and industries.
