If you focus on the positive rather than the negative, it will be easier for you to develop an attitude of gratitude, despite circumstances beyond your control. So this week, as we celebrate Thanksgiving I would like to leave you with four tasks that should help you cultivate gratitude. This can be an easy way to develop a thank you habit if you spend time every day doing so. These simple and tangible actions of thanksgiving do not last long, but benefit both you and the recipient. My experience tells me that people who have developed a habit of thankfulness, are very edifying. Research shows that gratitude helps people to live longer and healthier. This habit of gratitude or state of mind has not developed overnight. Choose the time of day when you have free time to send these people a brief thank you note by text or email. This will help you remember the strength you had to acquire and awaken gratitude for those who helped you on your journey and for what helped you. This attitude towards gratitude is convincing. These are people who always find a reason to be grateful, even in the most difficult circumstances.
