Even as the government celebrates “Thank You Teachers” and “Thank You Staff days every days every day of the year, it cannot convey the respect and admiration that governing bodies have for the staff who work so hard to inspire and nurture their extraordinary children in those early years. Since March, our parent, guardian and friend groups have been hanging posters on the doors of the school for all staff to see thank you letters and acknowledgments. Problems range from reduced workloads to student bonuses to school leadership to student welfare. With our schools closing in March and a period of uncertainty, this has become even more important. It has never been more urgent for governors to step up and express their appreciation. It has been so important to spread positive messages.
