The combined approach to learning means that we use the best of our classroom practice with online tools to maximize what students will understand and remember. Given the full return to schools in September and the distance learning plans that schools must have for isolated or locally locked students, Mike explains how the impact of the OVID 19 outbreak has put Edtech technology at the forefront of education and how it can be used both inside and outside the classroom. Prior to distance learning, Mike used a mixed approach to teaching students, using both online and face-to-face tools. As a science teacher, this allows me to make my teaching more dynamic; I can apply the concepts described in our program to practical examples, using videos, websites, online quizzes, and information to bring the world into my classroom. Teaching with this blended approach has allowed me to create jobs where students can work using different resources. The differences that we see in the teachers’ workload in performing computer online tasks, as well as the ability of teachers to provide digital feedback, can change the way my school teaches. By allowing our teachers to develop their computer skills, the curriculum will be more versatile and more responsive to changing circumstances, such as the sudden transition to home schooling resulting from the OMS epidemic. If we are able to communicate, collaborate, and provide online feedback to our students, we will be able to provide better science education based on real-life examples. While increased investment in time and resources in ICT can contribute to the success of a mixed approach, I believe that effectiveness for teachers and students has been proven for future education. In order for teachers to successfully use the Edtech technology provided to them, it is critical that the teacher training process uses and improves the various tools that educational software developers are constantly updating and improving. In September this year I hope to meet my students in person in a secure environment, but I also hope to continue using Edtech projects that we have at the school. I can also ensure that students make good use of resources by using plagiarism software integrated into some learning platforms. The impact of the COWID 19 epidemic on me as a teacher has forced me to improve my skills at Edtech and in distance learning. It also allows students and teachers to acquire ICT skills that will help them in their future careers. I can send electronic resources in the middle of a project and adjust lesson plans before students enter the room according to their needs.
