Venture Capital – He started meditating three years ago

He started meditating three years ago after hearing a famous businessman Tim Ferriss say that 80% of the most successful people in the world he meditates regularly. Today we pass on the blog to Liam McClintock who shares his his meditation journey with us and can help us become productive ninja in this complex information world. The famous Boston Kripalu and the Center for Meditation of Insight have become a paradise in a world of distractions and schedules. When I realized these benefits and read the results of recent neurological research that has demonstrated the ability of meditation to change the brain, I concluded that finding ways to train the mind is the best use of my time and energy. I wanted to practice meditation in its most extreme form to test the hypothesis that we can train the mind as a muscle for greater happiness. So I quit my job and went to Bali, Indonesia to have a 300 hour training for meditation teachers and then spend some time in the mountains meditating with the monks. When I left the meditation chair, I made a firm decision to stay vigilant until the end of the day, and then inevitably return to a wandering state of mind. It helps to solve many of the fundamental problems we face every day: drug addiction, narcissism, social isolation, lack of attention, fear and almost any other form of corrupt mind. Meditation is a tool with which we must all systematically form a better mind. The ability to focus my attention the way I want, and use the power of my mind, has created a new way of living in the world. My job is to introduce meditation in a scientific way to a wider audience. I certainly started meditating because I thought it would help me make more money in a competitive world of finance, where the least advantage can make a difference. Our mind is paramount; it is always with us and can be formed by self-directed neuroplasticity, better known as meditation. I believe that mental health, the world in which we cultivate and train our minds, is the next health revolution that will also radically change our society.
