Changemakers Speaking – Amanda has received the Toronto

Amanda has received the Toronto Community Foundation‘s Vital People Award for her work with women and technology and is an active supporter of universal child care. Her work with Estrela has been recognized by the Hillman Foundation Award for Research Journalism with a focus on social justice, and she has been nominated for the Michael Michener Award for Public Service Journalism and several national newspaper awards. Kofi, who is committed to community and youth development, was named the winner of the 2017 Jane Jacobs Award and the 2018 rising star on the Toronto Power of Life list. She was named an inspirational speaker by Forbes magazine, and her work can be seen on Toronto Star, Breakfast CP24, CBC, Associated Press, Toronto Life and others. Scarborough’s novel won the Jim Wong-Chu Award for unpublished manuscripts, was selected for the Toronto Book Award, the Edmund White Award for the first novel, the Evergreen Forest of Reading Award, the Trillium Book Award and was selected for the Canada Reads Prize. Hamza was nominated for the Canadian Screen Award and appeared in the successful series “The Marked Survivor” and “Quantico”. Sarah is a Toronto Stars journalist specializing in work and wealth. She writes about changes in the workplace, including unstable jobs, labor issues and employee compensation. Kamran is also a professor of medicine and public health at the University of Toronto and a physician specializing in infectious diseases. She is a senior fellow at the Wellesley Institute, an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto, and a Ph. Ran is the founder of Fresh City, the fifth largest city in Toronto and a leader in online business with eight stores. This young Canadian star uses his public platform to discuss issues that affect his heart, such as refugee rights, racial injustice and combating stereotypes.
