Microsoft Teams – I managed to get into the world of video

I managed to get into the world of video education and online communication with children, but I really missed studying! It was especially hard to be away from them during the last few weeks, and I would like to say goodbye to my class before they go to school. For the last six weeks of the semester I have been teaching them two 12-point bubbles – I am working with an assistant who sits in one bubble and I in the other. While Sam was on his way back to school with his class for half the semester, Olivia kept working at home because she had to take extra precautions because of her illness. Since March I‘ve been working at home and in the part-time department because I have type 1 diabetes. I was even able to say goodbye to almost all of my students to wish them good luck before finishing school. We worked a lot with the kids and talked to them about their worries and fears of going to high school. It was a strange moment, to say the least! I work and live in the same room, which brings a lot of problems. It worked very well and on some key topics I will call another class of Microsoft teams to teach two bubbles at once. It was a bit different, but me and the guys loved being together. But I liked the challenge of distance learning, and the experience was positive. Sam and Olivia are sixth grade teachers at Cheswood Elementary School in Worthing, Sussex. They cover everything from reducing workloads and incentives for students to school management and student welfare. I resumed sixth grade after the May semester and 24 of the 31 children returned to school. Ministry of Education blog for teachers
