TED-Ed Think – As I wrote last spring my freshman class

As I wrote last spring, my freshman class loved the TED-Ed Think Like a Coder video series. The episode is about ethics and lighting, using logic to solve some software puzzles, as well as unlocking and collecting artifacts. During the episode, students are encouraged to take action as they try to apply their knowledge to issues related to ethics and lighting. I plan to reuse these videos at the end of the year with my new freshman group. The World Machine follows the same format as the previous nine episodes of “Think Like Coder”. Then we had a day that ended a little earlier, so I put one on to see how they would react, liked it, and finally shouted out how they would solve the problems of the episodes. The last episode of the series was released a few days ago. Click here to read the full release and the free technology guide for teachers. I didn’t think they would do it, so I wasn’t going to show them.
